2017 Bond Information

Bonds are for Building!

School bonds provide immediate funds for large, long-term capital projects, such as modernization of buildings, new school construction or purchasing property. Bond funds are generally collected over a 15 to 30 year period, and are comparable to your home mortgage.

  • On February 14, 2017, Finley voters approved a $10 million bond to:
  • Renovate the Career & Technical Education (CTE) Buildings and Greenhouses
  • Upgrade athletic facilities, including ADA compliant grandstands, weight room equipment, and locker room modernization
  • Improve safety at all three schools with a new security system
  • Make numerous improvements to each building in the district (See Proposed Projects for details)

2017 Bond Quick Facts:

  • Finley has not proposed a bond to its community in 17 years (since 1999)
  • We paid off this bond in 2011 and have been debt-free ever since
  • A State-funded STEM Grant received by Finley School District in 2016 is starting the renovation to our Career & Technical Education (CTE) Building
  • Tax relief is available to qualified senior citizens through Benton County Assessor's Office
