Finley School District is taking applications for the vacant Director District #4 to replace Tim Goforth. Applicants must live within the boundaries of Director District #4.

Applications will be accepted through August 2, 2024. The Board of Directors will interview qualified applicants prior to the August 19, 2024 board meeting.
The new appointee shall serve until the next regularly scheduled board election in November 2024 at which time a director shall be elected for the remainder of the unexpired term through November 2027.
About District #4
In general terms, District #4 includes property from the corner of S Dague Rd and E Perkins road east to S Haney Rd. South on S Haney Rd to E Pidcock Rd and east to Highway 397. Southeast on Highway 3977 to S Finley Road. South past Finley Middle School to E Game Farm road. West on E Game Farm to Haney and all property north of E Game Farm Road.

School Board Meetings
The Finley School Board meets the third Monday of each month, unless otherwise noted. The January and February meetings will be held the fourth Monday of the month due to holidays. Meetings are held at the District Office and begin at 6 PM. Parents, community members and students are invited to attend. Meeting agendas are posted on the District’s website. A sign-in sheet for attendance and audience participation is located at the back of the meeting room. Please sign in if you wish to address the Board.
