Like many schools across Washington, the United States and beyond, we find ourselves in uncharted waters with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. On March 11, the World Health Organization characterized COVID-19 as a pandemic. Governor Jay Insee ordered all public and private K–12 schools in Washington state to close, beginning March 17 through at least April 24 (subject to extension).

As a school system, we are committed to providing equitable learning experiences for our students and access to resources and supports for our staff, families and community. Be assured that we are closely monitoring the guidance and direction of the State Superintendent (OSPI) and healthcare authorities. As new information and expectations are provided to our district, we will notify our staff, students, and families. Please continue to monitor our District COVID-19 Webpage ( and Facebook page for updates.

Take care and stay safe!
